long time no see

I just realized how long it has been since I posted anything here. Wow! Nov last year! It's amazing how fast time flies! I had no idea I was that far behind.

Well, I'm not at Dillard's anymore. I was blessed to be able to go back to being a nanny for the same family as before - for Adam and his new baby brother Noah! Adam's now 3 1/2 and Noah is 7 months. I've been with them since Jan. Those of you who are also on Facebook with me have seen me share pics of them.

Ryan is almost done with his freshman year, looking forward to a busy summer. We leave in two weeks for a mission trip to downtown Denver. Sun Valley neighborhood, average household income, $7,000 per year! We will be doing a one day VBS and carnival for the neighborhood kids, going to church with MYX International and helping them out around their place and in the neighborhood, doing outreach events in the area, and just serving in general. We have 15 middle schoolers, 2 high school student leaders and 4 adult leaders going. I'm sooo excited!!

Then, Ryan also has State Conference for 4H where he'll be doing Consumer Choices with his team. He also wants to volunteer at VBS here at the church as well as their sports and fine arts camp. And we'll try to fit in as much hiking and what-not as we possibly can. Both middle and high school youth groups continue through the summer, so we'll be busy serving and sttending at those. County Fair in Aug, State Fair in Sep. Busy, busy, busy. He'll probably be transferring to a charter school in the fall. Smaller, more accountability - easier to manage, not as stressful as a school with 2000+ people.

In Aug, I go back to school at Metro to finish my BS in Human Services. I'm thrilled for that and can hardly wait!!!

I'll see if I can dig up a few semi-current photos to post.....

Me at middle school youth group. We were introducing the small group leaders to the kids with a "get to know us" game thing. So we each surrounded ourselves with objects that described us, our hobbies, etc.
